Garlic Parmesan Baked Fries

Garlic Parmesan Baked Fries

Ingredients:
• 3 large russet potatoes (peeled if desired)
• 2–3 tbsp olive oil
• 2–3 cloves garlic, minced
• 1/2 tsp salt (or to taste)
• 1/4 tsp black pepper
• 1/2 tsp dried oregano or Italian seasoning
• 1/2 tsp paprika (optional for color)
• 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
• 1 tbsp chopped parsley (optional for garnish)
• Ketchup or your favorite dip (for serving)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Potatoes:
  2. Wash and cut potatoes into thin strips (like classic fries).
  3. Soak the cut fries in cold water for at least 30 minutes to remove excess starch (helps make them crispier).
  4. Drain and pat dry thoroughly using paper towels.
  5. Preheat & Prep:
  6. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C).
  7. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
  8. Season the Fries:
  9. In a large bowl, toss the dried fries with olive oil, garlic, salt, pepper, oregano (or Italian seasoning), and paprika (if using).
  10. Spread them out in a single layer on the baking sheet. Avoid overcrowding for even baking.
  11. Bake:
  12. Bake for 20 minutes, flip the fries, and bake for another 15–20 minutes or until golden brown and crisp.
  13. Add Parmesan & Garnish:
  14. Immediately after removing from the oven, sprinkle grated Parmesan over the hot fries and toss to coat.
  15. Optionally, sprinkle with chopped parsley for color and freshness.
  16. Serve:

Serve hot with ketchup, garlic aioli, or ranch dressing.
