All the cheesy, meaty flavor of ravioli — without the pasta! These melty mozzarella “pockets” are baked to perfection and make the best quick comfort-food snack.
💙 Ingredients (makes about 6 raviolis):
- 6 slices part-skim mozzarella cheese
- 4 oz lean ground beef or turkey (seasoned with garlic salt & Italian herbs)
- ¼ cup fat-free ricotta cheese
- 2 tbsp grated parmesan
- Optional: light marinara sauce for dipping
👩🍳 Instructions:
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Place mozzarella slices on the sheet and bake at 375°F (190°C) for 5 minutes — until edges start to bubble.
- Remove from oven and spoon a little cooked ground beef (or turkey) and ricotta onto each slice.
- Sprinkle with Italian seasoning and garlic salt, then place another slice of mozzarella on top.
- Bake again for 8–10 minutes, until golden and melty.
- Let cool, then blot with paper towels to remove any excess grease.
- Sprinkle with parmesan and serve with warm light marinara.
