🛒 Ingredients:

  • 6 slices light Italian bread or low-calorie baguette (1–2 pts each)
  • 2 tsp olive oil (or olive oil spray for 0 pts)
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced (0 pts)
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning (optional, 0 pts)
  • 2 large tomatoes, thinly sliced (0 pts)
  • 1 cup reduced-fat mozzarella cheese (3 pts total)
  • 2 tbsp grated Parmesan cheese (optional, 1 pt)
  • ¼ cup fresh basil, chopped (0 pts)
  • Salt & pepper, to taste

👩‍🍳 Instructions:

1️⃣ Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
Line a baking tray with parchment paper.

2️⃣ Make the garlic mix:
In a small bowl, combine olive oil (or spray), minced garlic, and Italian seasoning.

3️⃣ Prepare the bread:
Lay the bread slices on the tray and brush (or spray) the garlic mixture evenly over each slice.

4️⃣ Add toppings:
Top with tomato slices, sprinkle lightly with salt & pepper, then cover with mozzarella and Parmesan.

5️⃣ Bake:
Bake for 10–15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly and edges turn golden.

6️⃣ Finish with basil:
Remove from the oven and sprinkle with fresh basil. Serve warm and melty 🤤
