Mozzarella “Raviolis”

Ingredients:

  • 4 slices part-skim mozzarella cheese (about 4 oz) → 8 points total (2 pts per oz)
  • 4 oz lean ground turkey or chicken (93/7) → 2 points
  • 2 tablespoons part-skim ricotta cheese → 1 point
  • 1 tablespoon grated Parmesan cheese → 1 point
  • 2 tablespoons low-sugar marinara sauce → 1 point
  • Italian seasoning and garlic salt → 0 points

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F.
  2. Place mozzarella slices on parchment-lined baking sheet and bake 5 minutes.
  3. Remove and top each slice with cooked ground turkey/chicken, a scoop of ricotta, and seasonings.
  4. Add another mozzarella slice on top.
  5. Bake another 8-10 minutes until cheese melts and golden.
  6. Drain excess grease on paper towel and sprinkle Parmesan on top.
  7. Serve with marinara sauce for dipping.
