Caprese Cheese Toasts (WW Friendly)

Ingredients

  • 6 slices light sourdough or low-point French bread
  • 1 1/2 cups reduced-fat mozzarella cheese
    OR
  • 6 slices reduced-fat fresh mozzarella
  • 2 large tomatoes, sliced
  • Fresh basil, chopped
  • 1 tsp olive oil
  • Salt and black pepper
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • Optional balsamic glaze drizzle

Instructions

1. Toast the Bread

Preheat oven or air fryer to 400°F (200°C).

Lightly toast bread slices for about 3–4 minutes until slightly crispy.


2. Add the Toppings

Brush bread lightly with olive oil.

Top each slice with:

  • mozzarella cheese
  • tomato slices

Sprinkle with:

  • salt
  • pepper
  • oregano

3. Melt the Cheese

Bake or air fry for about 4–6 minutes until:

  • cheese is melted
  • edges are golden
  • tomatoes soften slightly

4. Finish

Top with fresh basil.

Optional: drizzle lightly with balsamic glaze before serving.

Serve warm while the cheese is melty.
