Crispy Wonton Samosas (WW Friendly)Makes ~12 pieces
Ingredients:
- 12 square wonton wrappers – 1 pt each
- 1 cup cooked skinless chicken or turkey breast, shredded – 0 pts
- ¼ cup reduced-fat shredded mozzarella or cheddar – 2 pts
- ¼ cup finely chopped green onions – 0 pts
- ¼ cup diced vegetables (bell pepper, carrot, zucchini, etc.) – 0 pts
- 1 tsp olive oil (for brushing/spraying) – 1 pt
- Salt, pepper, garlic powder, and spices (paprika, curry, etc.) – 0 pts
- Optional: 1 tsp low-sodium soy sauce or hot sauce – 0 pts
Instructions:
- Prepare Filling:
Mix shredded chicken/turkey, cheese, veggies, green onions, and seasonings in a bowl. - Assemble Wontons:
- Place 1 wrapper on a flat surface.
- Add ~1 heaping tablespoon filling to the center.
- Brush edges with water, fold diagonally into a triangle, and press to seal tightly.
- Cooking Methods:
Air Fryer (Recommended):- Preheat to 375°F (190°C).
- Lightly brush or spray with olive oil.
- Air fry 5–6 min, flip, cook 3–4 min until golden.
- Preheat to 400°F (205°C).
- Place on parchment-lined sheet, brush with oil, bake 8–10 min per side until crisp.
- Use 1–2 tsp oil in a skillet, fry until golden.
