Ingredients

Burger Sauce (Low-Point Version)

  • 1/2 cup non-fat Greek yogurt
  • 2 tbsp sugar-free ketchup
  • 1 tbsp sugar-free BBQ sauce
  • 1 tbsp drained sweet relish
  • 1 tsp mustard
  • 1 tsp hot sauce (optional)

Bun Dough (Low-Points / Lighter Version)

  • 2 cups oat flour (or whole wheat flour)
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 2/3 cup warm skim milk
  • 1 tsp yeast

Burger Filling

  • 12 oz lean ground turkey or 93% lean beef
  • 1 large yellow onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 tsp olive oil
  • 6 slices reduced-fat cheddar cheese (cut each slice in half → 12 halves)
  • 12 small pickle slices

Instructions

1. Make the Sauce

  • Mix Greek yogurt, sugar-free ketchup, sugar-free BBQ, relish, mustard, and hot sauce. Chill in the fridge until ready to serve.

2. Prepare the Bun Dough

  • In a bowl, combine oat flour, baking powder, and salt.
  • Add olive oil, skim milk, and yeast. Knead into a soft, smooth dough.
  • Cover and let rise for 45–60 minutes until slightly doubled.

3. Caramelize the Onions

  • In a small pan, heat 1 tsp olive oil.
  • Cook sliced onions over low heat for 10–15 minutes until soft and lightly caramelized.

4. Make the Burger Patties

  • Divide the meat into 12 small patties. Season lightly with salt and pepper.

5. Assemble the Sliders

  • Divide dough into 12 portions and roll each into a small round.
  • Place caramelized onions in the center, then a burger patty, a half slice of reduced-fat cheddar, and a pickle.
  • Fold the edges of the dough over the filling to seal and form a bun shape.

6. Steam the Buns

  • Prepare the steamer. Place each bun on a parchment square in the steamer basket.
  • Steam for 10–12 minutes until cooked through.

7. Serve

  • Let cool for 5 minutes. Serve with the low-point burger sauce.

  • Using lean turkey or lean beef reduces points by 1–2.
  • Greek yogurt-based sauce saves 2–3 points vs mayo-based sauce.
  • Small buns made with oat flour = ~3 points per slider.

Total: ~5–6 WW points per slider — big flavor, full appearance, but lighter points!
