Ingredients

For the Pastry (lightened):

  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour – 17 points
  • ½ cup plain nonfat Greek yogurt – 0 points
  • 2 tbsp light butter – 4 points
  • ¼ tsp salt – 0 points
  • Cold water, as needed – 0 points

For the Filling:

  • 1 lb 96% lean ground beef – 12 points
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped – 0 points
  • Salt & pepper – 0 points
  • Optional: spray of cooking oil – 0 points

Instructions

  1. Make the Pastry: In a bowl, combine flour and salt. Cut in the light butter until crumbly. Stir in Greek yogurt and just enough cold water to bring the dough together. Wrap in plastic and refrigerate 30 min.
  2. Prepare Filling: Cook lean beef and onions in a skillet until browned and softened. Season with salt & pepper. Cool slightly.
  3. Assemble Bridies: Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Divide dough into 6 portions and roll into circles. Spoon filling on one half, fold over, and crimp edges with a fork.
  4. Bake: Place on parchment-lined sheet, brush tops with egg wash (optional, +1 point for whole recipe), and bake 25–30 min until golden.
  5. Serve: Best warm, with a side salad or veggies.
